Tea Lautrec Litho, established in 1967 by master printer Levon Mosgofian, was a key contributor to San Francisco's psychedelic art movement. Bridging the gap between traditional craftsmanship and the radical aesthetics of the counterculture, Mosgofian transformed the experimental visions of artists like Rick Griffin and Stanley Mouse into vibrant, high-quality offset lithograph posters. As Bill Graham’s exclusive printer, Tea Lautrec produced iconic posters for the Fillmore and Winterland Ballrooms. This work includes legendary designs for acts like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and the Grateful Dead. Mosgofian’s willingness to treat rock posters as fine art ensured that these ephemeral concert advertisements survived as enduring cultural artifacts now held in major museum collections worldwide.
